Delete your data

You can manage data from your WhatBot workspace or request deletion through Meta.

Delete one contact

Open the contact in Inbox, choose Contact actions, then Delete contact. Confirm DELETE to remove its messages, attachments, field values, and AI history. Reset contact data clears custom fields and AI history while keeping chat history.

Disconnect an account

Open Settings → Channels and choose Disconnect. This stops new processing but keeps existing chat history. To remove associated data, request deletion as described below.

Remove a Google account

A workspace administrator can remove a connected Google account in WhatBot once no sheet or booking calendar uses it. You can also remove WhatBot's access under Security → Third-party apps in your Google Account. Your spreadsheets and calendar events stay in your Google account.

Request account data deletion

Removing WhatBot from your Facebook or Instagram settings disconnects the accounts you connected and keeps their chat history. To also delete that data, use Meta’s request to delete information when you remove WhatBot. WhatBot verifies Meta’s signed request and queues deletion of the associated connected account data. Meta provides a confirmation link where you can check its status.

You can also email info@thewhatbot.com with your workspace name, account email, and the account or contact you want deleted. Do not include passwords or access tokens. We may need to verify ownership before acting. Deleted data is removed from active systems; restricted backup copies expire through the backup retention cycle.
